
U Ukrajini su bučice izuzetno popularne. Ovi duguljasti bjelkasti, svijetlozeleni, žuti plodovi dobro rastu, brzo se pripremaju i nisu skupi. U Hrvatskoj je lakše pronaći tikvice. Međutim, obje ove vrste su vrlo korisne. Niskokalorične su i sadrže mnogo vitamina. Dakle, pripremamo predjelo od tikvica i češnjaka.
Sastojci:
- 2-3 veće tikvice
- Brašno za paniranje
- Sol po ukusu
- Ulje za prženje
- Češnjak 1-2 režnja
- Kiselo vrhnje ili majoneza 100 g
- Zeleni začini po izboru
Priprema:
- U veliku zdjelu narežite oprane tikvice i obilno posolite. Režite na kolutiće. U zagrijanu tavu ulijte suncokretovo ulje. Svaki kolutić uvaljajte u brašno i pržite s obje strane dok ne porumeni.
- Odvojeno pripremite umak od kiselog vrhnja ili majoneze, protisnite u njega češnjak i dodajte nasjeckane zelene začine po svom ukusu.

Zucchini (or Marrow) Appetizer
Marrows (a type of summer squash, similar to zucchini) are extremely popular in Ukraine. These elongated, whitish, light green, yellow fruits grow well, cook quickly, and are inexpensive. In Croatia, it’s easier to find zucchini. However, both types are very healthy. They are low in calories and contain many vitamins. So, let’s prepare a zucchini and garlic appetizer.

Ingredients:
- 2-3 large zucchini
- Flour for coating
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- Garlic 1-2 cloves
- Sour cream or mayonnaise 100 g
- Greens of your choice
Preparation:
- In a large bowl, mix sliced zucchini with generous amount of salt. They should be cut into rounds. Pour sunflower oil into a heated frying pan. Coat each round in flour and fry on both sides until golden brown.
- Separately, prepare a sauce of sour cream or mayonnaise, crush the garlic into it, and add chopped greens to your taste.
